Anton Nikulin, Head of the Sports Office of the Lviv City Council, Andrii Zakaliuk, Director of the Department of Education and Culture, and Talina Beiko, Director of the Marta Kostyuk Foundation, have signed a tripartite cooperation agreement to support the development of tennis in Lviv.

Marta Kostyuk — a Ukrainian tennis player and winner of the junior Australian Open and US Open in 2017 — founded the Foundation to make tennis more accessible to young people in Ukraine.

One of the Foundation’s programs focuses on integrating tennis into school PE classes. Public schools will receive adapted equipment, and PE teachers will be trained to conduct tennis lessons indoors, even without access to courts.

Two competitions will be announced soon: one for coaches who will train PE teachers, and another for schools wishing to join the program and receive the necessary equipment.
